2. How did you come up with the name "HOLY MOL-EE!"?

The mole is a central concept in chemistry. It has the numerical value of 602,200,000,000,000,000,000,000 (six-hundred-two-sextillion-two-hundred-quintillion). The expression, "holy moley!" has been used historically to express surprise at some unexpected happening, such as an explosion, or a building falling down. Since the "mole" is a word of common parlance among chemists and the expression "holy moley" refers to something unusually large or or surprising, we came up with the name, "HOLY MOL-EE!"

3. What is the "HOLY MOL-EE! Chemistry" curriculum?

"HOLY MOL-EE! Chemistry" is a supplementary chemistry curriculum, currently formatted for classroom use, which introduces foundational concepts through song, dance, dramatization, bright visuals, models and manipulatives, Guided Student Notes and carefully ordered, step-by-step teacher presentation. It is fun, easy and effective.
