SONGS
In
the new 2005 Edition, songs
from previous versions of HOLY MOL-EE! have been integrated,
renumbered and placed in a more logical order. Several old
songs have been redone in an effort to update
the music with young adult musical tastes in mind,
and many new songs have been added.
Both male and female voices were used in a variety of musical
styles. There is some rock, and several new raps, one of which
was done by the professional rappers, "Down Lo," and
others which were done by a young and upcoming star who calls
himself Casper.

TEACHING
SLIDES
The Slide Show/Data CD integrates all the graphics from previous
HOLY MOL-EE! products and has added MANY, MANY MORE, so you
get a total of 673+ PDF transparency designs. These are organized into Adobe Acrobat Slide Shows,
viewable with Adobe Reader. There are 22
Teaching Slide Shows and 41
Picto-Lyrics Slide Shows, which, of course,
serve also as teaching slides. Teachers will find these slide
shows valuable
VIDEO
CLIPS which teach KINESTHETIC LEARNING SEQUENCES
New to HOLY MOL-EE!
with the 2005 Edition are video clips which teach chemistry
through participatory kinesthetic movement. These learning sequences
are very powerful learning tools which your students will come to enjoy. The videos provide instruction
in both chemistry and movement, sequence run-through, and sequence
performance. The power of learning accessed by these movements
cannot be overstated. Our bodies learn a great deal through
kinesthetics, (or purposeful learning movements), and this is
a greatly underutilized modality of instruction in modern education.
GUIDED
STUDENT NOTES
From the Slide Show/Data
CD, you may print out any or all of the Guided Student Notes
pages. This feature helps your students to stay focused during lecture, facilitates note-taking
and allows for the easy sharing of notes between students when
someone is absent from class. It makes both your job, and theirs,
easier. Because the file is in MS Word ® format, you
may change it, add to it, or delete parts of it to
facilitate student learning as you see fit. The Guided Student
Notes are arranged to follow the revised HOLY MOL-EE! Teaching
Outline.
WORKSHEETS
WERE REDONE
The original, hand-drawn
worksheets have been replaced with computerized updates. And
more worksheets have been added, for a total of 23 Worksheets.
Our Balancing Equations Worksheet #15,
well-tested and refined, has proven to be a particularly
valuable tool to give
your students an intuitive feel for the meaning of subscripts
and coefficients in chemical equations. And #14, "Unit
Conversions," teaches how to set up unit conversion
problems in a way that students really get it. Both worksheets
are accompanied by extensive teaching slide shows.
A
VALUABLE AND TIMELY TEACHING TOOL
The New 2005 Edition
of the Teacher Guidebook will save
you time in lesson preparation and delivery, as well
as add another dimension of fun to your chemistry teaching.
It contains more extensive methods instruction about multiple
modality teaching, as well as how to use the various components
of HOLY MOL-EE! to optimize learning. An
appendix has been added which directly states how various HOLY
MOL-EE! materials correlate to the
California Chemistry Content Standards
We have spent thousands
of hours developing and testing the information and materials
assembled for you in this package and proudly offer to you the New 2005 HOLY MOL-EE! Multiple
Modality Chemistry, as always, with a full-satisfaction guarantee. |
